Motorola has officially launched the successor to its last year’s Motorola Edge smartphone under the name Motorola Edge 2021. Considering the previous launch, this new Edge 2021 comes with improved specifications and features a flat display. Moreover, this device is launched only in the US market. And looking forward to its global launch. However, it’s unclear whether the company will bring this smartphone to the Indian market.
The Motorola Edge 2021 is available in the US market with pricing of $699 that means around Rs 52000. Moreover, the device will be available at discounted price of $499 for limited time which is around Rs 37200. The new device is available for pre-order and will come in a single Bebula Blue color. The company will also launch in Canada in the upcoming few months. But, there are no details about the Indian launch.
Motorola Edge 2021 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ and 144Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a 20:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10 support. Moreover, the device is powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC with Adreno 642L GPU. This new smartphone ships 8GB RAM and 256 of internal storage. In addition, the device has a triple camera setup with a 108MP primary camera with an 8MP Ultra wide angle and 2MP dept camera. The phone will have 32MP selfie camera. Futhermore, the device includes WiFi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. There is a fingerprint sensor side-mounted with a face unlock options. In addition, the phone have a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The device runs Android 11 out of the box and comes with IP52 certifications.
