Qualcomm recently introduced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Now, the company is working to bring the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor very soon. Moreover, the latest processor arrives with 10 per cent CPU and GPU improvement and up to 30 per cent better efficiency. And, now the upcoming processor may arrive at the end of the year 2022. Furthermore, there is recent leak revealing the key features of the upcoming processor.
Qualcomm is soon to introduce the latest processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Moreover, the company may announce the processor around the month of December this year. In addition, the tipster Digital Chat station leaks out the features of the upcoming processor. The tipster reveals that the processor has model number SM8550. Additionally, the tipster states that the Gen 2 manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing company (TSMC). The processor will have 4mm fabrication process. Furthermore, the tipster suggest that the processor will have different cluster setup.
Moreover, the upcoming processor will have 1+2+2+3 configuration as compared to that of 1+3+4 current processor. In addition, the processor gets one Makalu generation core, another cluster with Makalu generation core, and two Matterhorn generation cores. Alongwith three Klein R1 cores and Makalu cores could be the upcoming Prime X3 core. Thus, it means that the processor will feature cortex-X3 core, two Cortex-A720 cores , and two cortex-A720 cores with three low power Cortex A510 cores. The Processor will couple with an Adreno 740 GPU.
