Acer is set to step into the home entertainment segment in India. The Taiwanese brand will debut its first smart television in September. Moreover, the company mainly sells laptops in India. The Acer TVs will launch under the license of Bengaluru-based Indkal Technologies. This company will now take responsibility for development, distribution, and support for Acer TVs in the country. Furthermore, The CEO Anand Dubey says in the statement that ‘We will find immense opportunities to showcase the value addition that Acer Televisions will bring to the market and towards improving the overall TV viewing experience.’
Acer televisions to debut in India next month
Acer is bringing its first smart TV to India. However, Acer hasn’t revealed any key specifications of its first televisions. But, we know that they will come in various sizes ranging from 32-inches to 70-inches. Moreover, the televisions will be available from Amazon and Flipkart. IndKal Technologies may share the detailed specifications and pricing of the Acer TVs soon.
The specifications of the television remain a mystery. But we can expect the latest features found on today’s TV like Android 10 0S, Dolby Atmos, OTT apps, Google Assistant, and more. Moreover, India is a big market for television brands, and many including Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, Motorola, and Nokia have entered the segment in recent years.
