The recent trend among the smartphone brands has been working with legendary camera manufacturers. Moreover, the smartphone camera performance has been a huge selling point in recent times. Therefore, the companies leave no stone unturned to ensure their product attracts shutterbugs. The likes of Vivo, Nokia have worked or are working with Zeiss whereas OnePlus is working with Hasselbald. There are also rumors that Samsung is working with Olympus for the Galaxy S22 series. And recently, reports came suggesting that Realme will also join the club by partnering with Kodak for its next flagship. Now, it turns out that Realme is not only one working with the legendary US-based camera company. As per the new leak, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has done a partnership with Kodak for its next flagship.
Oppo to work with Kodak Brand
The company is likely to use Sony’s IMX766 sensor found on the likes of the Find X3 Pro and the OnePlus 9 Pro. According to the report citing tipster Digital Chat Station, states that Oppo is working with Kodak to make a smartphone capable of making use of the old classic camera design on Kodak’s offerings. Moreover, the camera includes a Sony IMX766 1/1.5-inch sensor. The camera setup will also include a large ultrawide sensor, similar to that found on X3 Pro. In addition, on top of the two sensors is another 13MP telephoto camera lens. This offers 2x optical zoom capabilities. Furthermore, the Quad-camera setup includes a 3MP microscope camera again same as that of the Find X3 Pro. However, there is no word from the company about the partnership. But we expect to hear from the brand soon.
