Realme GT Neo2 release date, launch event time, expected price, specifications

Realme GT Neo2 India launch is just a few days away now. The handset was launched in China in September, hence we know its complete specifications and design. It comes as a successor to the Realme GT Neo that debuted in India as Realme X7 Max. This time, the brand is retaining the same GT moniker. The handset has a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner for the selfie snapper, a triple camera layout in a rectangular module, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Realme GT Neo2 price in India and availability will be revealed next week.

Realme GT NEO2 details

The device will launch in India on October 13th at 12:30 PM IST and the event will be live-streamed via the company’s YouTube channel. There are rumours the brand might also unveil its Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 skin on the same stage. There will also be a special Green colour variant of the Realme Buds Air 2 to compliment the GT Neo2’s Green colourway.

Moreover, The Realme GT Neo2 price in China starts from around Rs 28,500 for the base model. Thus, this the handset’s India price could be around Rs 30,000 or higher keeping the GST rate in mind. The Realme GT Neo3 will take on phones like OnePlus 9R and Mi 11X.

Talking about specs, Realme GT Neo2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 paired with Adreno 650 GPU. It has triple cameras on the back, with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Alongwith, 120-degree FoV, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The phone runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box. But, speculations are rife the phone might come with Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0.

Furthermore, connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The Realme GT Neo2 has a 6.62-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate. And, 600Hz touch sampling rate, 1300nits brightness, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a 500000:1 contrast ratio, and DC dimming. A 5000mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support fuels the phone. It has a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. It is equipped with features like stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res audio. The phone measures 162.9×75.8×8.6mm and weighs 199.8 grams.
