Samsung smartphones always have the common thing in between that is their water-resistant rating. But, due to folding screens and hinge mechanism, this feature was absent in Samsung Galaxy Fold and Samsung Galaxy Flip series. However, in the upcoming days, it looks like Samsung has solved its issue to a certain level. According to the leak reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 could be the first folding smartphone with an IP rating for water and dust resistance.
According to the leaks, the report says that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is an IPx8 certified for water and dust resistance. This is a real big achievement by the company, as these types of certifications are mainly seen on small products like earbuds. However, the device with IPx8 certification could easily submerge into water deeper than one meter. But, the exact depth will be certified by the company.
Apart from this, the company included few more updates in the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The device will use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection. And, it also has a 1.9-inch secondary display on the outside. Moreover, the folding display on the inside is expected to be of flexible glass that is prone to scratch and damage resistant as that of normal smartphones. In addition, the display has a major advantage as it will have a 120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also got stereo speakers along with specs like flex mode, quick shot 2.0, and night mode. Furthermore, the phone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256 internal storage. It may come with pricing around Rs. 84,999 in the Indian market.
